Bahia Blu

Bahia Blu This was the perfect cigar for me. Full but smooth. For me, it does not get better at $2.00 a stick, Loved it. Favorite cigar yet.

From Cigars International:

Bahia Blu is a medium-bodied handmade from Nicaragua that’s priced to move. Dressed in a fairly attractive Corojo wrapper that’s smooth and glistening - under the hood is a blend of 5 to 6-year old long Nicaraguan long-fillers grown in Esteli, Jalapa, and Leon. The end result is a somewhat rich and toasty flavor with a sweet, cedary core, and crisp, lingering aftertaste. I’ve found a bit of a consistency issue from time to time but by and large a nice, everyday, handmade value.

Indian Tabac Cigar Co. Box Pressed Super Fuente Natural (second 1/2)

Indian Tabac Natural  I smoked the second 1/2 of the cigar that I started the night before. It was great! Enjoyed it all the way down to the nub.

From Cigars International:

The Indian Tabac Super Fuerte line from Rocky Patel is a beauty. From first sight right down to the finger-burning nub, this cigar will captivate you. Handmade in Honduras, this gem employs an awesome blend of long-leaf tobaccos from Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Honduras to generate voluminous clouds of thick white smoke and a creamy, rich flavor with hints of chocolate. To tame this robust blend, a luscious wrapper is applied - either a dark, Nicaraguan Maduro or a flavorful Cuban-seed Corojo - just before aging each cigar for a minimum of 4 years. This patient aging process leads to a mature, round character that’s buttery smooth and ultimately satisfying.

Indian Tabac Super Fuerte received a well-deserved ’92’ point score from Cigar Aficionado, which added:
"A dark, well-built cigar that draws well. The flavors are rich, round and elegant. The smoke is nutty and spicy, with a medium- to full-bodied character."

Indian Tabac Cigar Co. Box Pressed Super Fuente Natural

Indian Tabac Natural  It was a bit harsh at first with a very full taste. It had a little bit of an aftertaste that I had to get used to. Overall it was OK. I only smoked 1/2 because I ran out of time. I put it out and left the remainder on my garage workbench to be smoked the following day.

Oliva Serie G

Oliva Serie G An OK cigar but it was a bit sharper and harsher that the other cigars that I have smoked up to this point. Still, not a bad cigar.

From Cigars International:

Oliva Serie ’G’ is a good-looking Nicaraguan premium made with an authentic African Cameroon wrapper. This leaf imparts a pleasant, nutty flavor, adding to the rich bouquet presented by the Nicaraguan Habano long-fillers inside. Overall, a rich, medium-bodied cigar with hints of coffee, nuts and wood on the aftertaste. Serie ’G’ received a stellar ’91’ rating.

Nica Libre 1990

Nica Libre I found this to be an awesome smoke, full flavored but mellow. No bite at all. The one issue I had with it was that about 1/4 of the way in it started to burn unevenly. I was unable, or not knowledgeable enough, to correct the burn and it continued to burn uneven to the end. Like my last cigar, this may have been caused by over humidification.

From Cigars International:

Hand-crafted in Nicaragua, Nica Libre is a veritable candy bar. This blend showcases an aged combination of Nicaraguan long-fillers secured within a Habano binder, inside dark and oily, positively resplendent San Andres maduro wrapper. A classic maduro experience: rich, hearty, and silky smooth. Deep notes of coffee and earth smack the palate in balanced fashion, leaving behind a bold, somewhat peppery aftertaste that lingers long on the palate. A hint of dark chocolate is present during the slow burn, completing an eventful and enjoyable medium-bodied cigar. One of the finest values in a Nicaraguan handmade maduro that you’ll find on the market today.
